Functional Neurology
The brain cannot create new brain cells. Because of this, the brain is always degenerating. It can, however, always make new connections. This is called neuroplasticity. When the brain doesn't make as many connections as it loses brain cells, people start to have brain symptoms like migraines, vertigo, anxiety, depression, forgetfulness, brain fog, autoimmune disorders, gut issues, chronic pain, ADHD, autism, insomnia... the list goes on.
Research shows that brain scans cannot detect brain degeneration until 60% of the brain is affected. By that point, there's not much you can do to reverse the damage. What Functional Neurology allows us to do at Inside Out Health is make more brain connections so that the symptoms are resolved before they have the chance to get worse or evolve into more serious conditions like Alzheimers, Parkinson's, etc...
Many people aren't aware that these issues can be helped or prevented today through brain training treatment researched and piloted by lead researchers for Preventative Health Care at Harvard Medical. This focus of treatment for the brain is an advanced specialization that connects the brain and the body to make way for whole body health.
Dr. Nick uses theses means of assessing what areas of the brain need rehabilitation:
•Primitive Reflex Assessment •Blind Spot Mapping •Coordination Assessment •Cognitive Evaluation •Sensory/Motor Testing •Oxygen Saturation Monitoring •Optokinetic Analysis •Balance/Vestibular Testing •Comprehensive Blood Chemistry Analysis •Additional testing if necessary (MRI, CT, NCV/EMG, etc)
Dr. Nick Hyde is dedicated to providing this service and continuing his growth in this area to help people who have lost hope in overcoming these health issues.
